DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels says Adrian Beltre and Rougned Odor should return to the lineup this week.

In a conversation with the Ben and Skin Show on 105.3 The Fan, Daniels says there's a good chance Beltre plays against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday or Wednesday, while Odor could return for a weekend series against the Houston Astros.

"(He) had a good day running the bases out there today," Daniels said of Beltre's impending return. Most guys  (with a hamstring injury) we'll send out on a rehab assignment. With Adrian, certainly, we've reached a point where when know him well and he knows himself well enough and it probably won't be necessary."

"He's gonna go out with Round Rock starting tomorrow for a few days. We're kind of hoping he's going to be ready by this weekend in Houston. (That's) a realistic goal for him," Daniels added when asked about Odor's potential return.

Beltre has been on the disabled list since April 25 with a strained left hamstring, while Odor has been out since April 10 with a more severe hamstring strain.

Texas remains without their starting shortstop in Elvis Andrus. He is expected to be sidelined until at least June with a broken bone in his elbow.
